  Thoughts on letter to siblings

  i will be sending a letter to all my siblings in the next couple of weeks, and wanted everyone's take on it.

  the primary purpose of this letter is to pave the way for a limited relationship.

  i want to invite them to my son's celebration for finishing his leukemia treatment.

  I think writing a letter, expressing your feelings as a human being and not being repressed by restrictions the WT has tried to ingrain into our brains is a good thing.

  That is what the WT does... it tries to take humanity away from people. It is comforting to hear that you have chosen conscience over relationships... that is what truly improves the world... people like you.

  You will never have to wonder, "I wonder what would happen if?" You did it, you wrote the letter! Good for you! They will have no excuses.

  i have been lurking on this site for 3 years and this is my fist post.

  i would like to thank everyone for helping me wake up.

  i was baptized at 24, married at 25, ms for 18 years mentally in for 24 years but started to wake up 3 years ago doing research to give public talks, and the actions of arrogant and narcissistic brothers and sisters did not help.

  Dear Simple Minds, it must be so hard for you... with your wife 'in' and daughter getting married....

  Try focusing on building relationships with your family in areas "outside" the borg. Help them get to know you as a loving and caring person that will help them as they, hopefully, awaken.

  Develop other interests with your wife, take her to dance lessons (haha, my fave) or biking? hiking? whatever she likes, try to do something like that... classes?

  Trey quotes a number of newspapers, the one from The Northern Echo lists an ex-witness from Hartlepoole, Steve Rose, as helping the Charities commission in it's nationwide investigation of "the church."

  when i was a teenager, i was told by an elder that because i smiled a lot and was known for my good sense of humor, that i should come across as "more serious".

  so before i was appointed a ms, while in my late teens, i transformed myself into a much more "serious" brother.. were you ever told that you needed to work on something that you knew was stoopid?.

  I was 18, just married, had a 2nd hand wool navy blue skirt suit that I had found at a thrift shop ... looked like it was from the 40's / 50's, shoulder pads on the jacket, covered buttons, straight skirt with a slit in the back... darling!!!! I was so proud of it....

  "Cut your skirt or you can't pioneer" It was only 3 or 4 inches below my knee... I cried as I cut.... grrrrrrrrrrr..... I loved that outfit!

  it is partially based on an interview with an ex-jw, jerry bergman, and, besides other things, contains information on h. c. covington and his supreme court cases.

  Exactly, Nathan Natas! They "seek to establish their own theocracy" (on earth, with GB as the gods) and use whatever means necessary to do it.

  However it began, WT now cold heartedly, systematically, spews and uses "freedom of speech" & "first amendment rights" to prevent any investigation or questioning of anything they do not want revealed.

  And yes, as prologos said, "An Ideal that wt rigorously suppresses in the realm it governs", WT is very suppressive.

  Letter to my wife

  i decided to write the following letter to my wife after years of frustration.

  it was the only way i could express my feelings to her.

  so far i have had a mixed reaction from her which i can later tell you about.

  Dear Truthexplorer, I wish you well, it is such a hard thing to know "the truth" and pretend to be "in the truth." As others have noted, it all depends on your wife, if you have spoken before, or if she will take the time to read.

  The points you have made are well written..... I have seen the propagandized lines of the WT take people's brains over right before my eyes... The human is no longer human. Reasoning is not allowed... Scripture is disregarded... The walls just go up to keep the intruder out.

  So sorry that it is so hard, however, if she has any human feeling left in her, she will want to help you, and just like it took time for the WT to propagandize her, it will take time to de-propagandize.

  My suggestion? Build your husband / wife relationship with her.... Take her on 'dates'.... create memories, fun... loving ones... Go on vacations / trips so that she has less time in service / meetings... you need to 'take her away' from the hamster wheel.
